ACTSS Halloween Extravaganza - Edmonton Pet Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the Animal Cancer Therapy Subsidization Society's annual Halloween Extravaganza last weekend. This is ACTSS's primary fundraiser of the year and it was a lot of fun! The family event is a banquet, silent & live auction, and human & pet costume contests. Of course the evening highlight is the pet costume portion! Some pets were more willing than others to strut their stuff on the catwalk! Thanks for a great night.

Edmonton Humane Society - Edmonton Pet Photography

I thought I should post some of the photos I have taken at the Edmonton Humane Society over the past month. I recently joined two talented people (Erik Hornung and Byron Wong) on the EHS's photography team. The EHS is my favorite charity (my dog Shadow is an alumni) and I am very happy to volunteer my camera to take pictures of the adoptable pets.  I had a "cat day" at the shelter yesterday. The EHS is currently at capacity for cats and would love to adopt them out to good families.

These are the pets from my first shoot at the shelter at the beginning of October.  The dogs have been adopted, but the cats are still waiting for their new homes. So if you are thinking of getting a new pet, there are many wonderful animals waiting!

Kelly - Sherwood Park Maternity Photography

Meet a beautiful mom-to-be! Kelly and her husband Preston are expecting their second little bundle in a few weeks and wanted to capture some family moments. They were a lot of fun to photograph. I asked "how about some pictures in a tree?"  So she and her little boy climbed right up there! And he did what two year olds do best...make a funny face. I'll can't wait to meet your baby next month!

George - Edmonton Child Photography

George just melts my heart! I was excited and honoured that this little guy's mom asked me to take his one year old photos. I'll be honest, I was quite nervous because George's mom and I are friends and in the same mothers group. I was worried if she didn't like the photos, then I might get kicked out of the group. Ha ha! We took advantage of this week's gorgeous weather to spend a few hours at the Laurier Dog Park with George's parents and best buddy, Slick.

Baby Hadrian - Edmonton Baby Photography

This is my little nephew Hadrian, visiting from the west coast. He is 6 months old and I just love him to bits! I haven't seen him since before I got my new camera, so I was dying to take some pictures of him. He loves to smile for the camera (or his mommy who was often standing behind me). Ha ha!

Davies Family - Spruce Grove Family Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the Davies family...and all their children and grandchildren....who had come together from across the country & the States for a special family event. The patriach and matriach have two beautiful apple trees in their front yard and they requested photos of their beautiful family in front of them.

These are all of the grandchildren from oldest to youngest...all twelve of them!

Flewwelling Kids - Edmonton Child Photography

I love Hawrelak Park and I love to take pictures there. Throw in an adorable family and voila! I had fun with these cuties as they climbed the boulders & trees and chased geese & ducks. And I learned a few things about the attention spans of children and photo shoots. Ha ha!

Lucy - Onoway Baby Photography

I had the chance to spend a few hours with this little beauty who was visiting with her family all the way from Ohio. She was such a busy girl -- already walking at 10 months old! And of course I can't forget to comment on her stunning eyes. It was a lot of fun taking her pictures and hope she visits again soon.
